What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the By-Pass of the Critical Factor of the Conscious Mind and the establishment of acceptable selective thinking.
Hypnosis is a tool for positive change. You are the driver, and the Hypnotist is the car. You are in control of the car, and the car is the vehicle for reaching your desired destination.
What is the Critical Factor?
The Critical Factor is a part of the conscious mind that filters through information and decides whether or not information will go into the subconscious mind. It analzyes the suggestion and compares it to what the mind already perceives as truth.
For example, if a person is told the sky is orange, the Critical Factor will look at that suggestion and compare it to what the person knows--which is the sky is blue--and automatically blocks that suggestion from coming in.
What is the difference between a Hypnotist and a Hypnotherapist?
According to the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), there is no distinction between the two titles. Some states regulate which title you can use. According to NGH guidelines, it is recommended that we go by the term Certified Hypnotist.

No, hypnosis is not sleep. You are fully awake when in hypnosis. You know what is going on around you and you will remember the things you hear and do when you emerge from hypnosis.
Will I remember what happened to me after being hypnotized?
YES, you will remember everything. You are going to be fully aware of the things that are going on around you, but you will be so relaxed, that you will only want to concentrate on the things that the hypnotherapist is saying to you.
Is Hypnosis a Loss of Consciousness?
You are far from being unconscious when being hypnotized. You will actually be more awake than ever before! Hypnosis only allows your conscious mind to take a step to the side, and allows your subconscious mind to come to the forefront. The conscious mind is still aware of what is going on around you, but you don't pay much attention to it. You are more focused on the positive suggestions that are taken in by your subconscious mind.

Is there a possibility that I will not be able to be emerged once in hypnosis?
Absolutely not. Your body will naturally emerge you if necessary.
