Kathryn Beck is devoted to helping others through mind/body healing. It is her belief that, in order to heal your body, you must also heal your mind and spirit.
Kathryn created her own major at Indiana University Bloomington which earned her a Bachelors in "Studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine." After college, she attended four trimesters at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Her personal search for help with her chronic social anxiety led her to Hypnosis. After four sessions with a Certified Hypnotist, her life was completely changed, and she decided that her true passion was Hypnosis.
Kathryn left acupuncture school to begin her training to become a Certified Hypnotist. She completed her National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) training at the New York Awareness Center in Manhattan and became a Certified Hypnotist in October of 2005.
In 2005, Kathryn completed her Level 1 training in Bach Flower Essences through a Bach-Centre approved training course in New York City.
In her search for other methods of natural healing that she could incorporate into her life and career, Kathryn became interested in Reiki. She studied with Reiki Master Motoko Kawasaki at the Salon de Reiki in Brooklyn, and completed her Master Teacher Level Reiki training in March 2006.
She is also a Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator through the HypnoBirthing® Institute following the Marie Mongan Method. She completed her training in June of 2006. Kathryn loves helping couples prepare for a more comfortable birthing experience using this method.
Kathryn finished her advanced Hypnosis training through Gerald (Jerry) Kein's Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy distance education training program through the Omni Hypnosis Center. This program took one year to complete (2006-2007). She is now a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist through the National Board of Hypnosis.
Each year, she must complete continuing education credits in order to remain a Certified Hypnotist.
In 2007, Kathryn completed her HypnoBirthing® Fertility Therapist training with Lynsi Eastburn at the NGH Convention. She did a be-back in 2010 with Sherry Gilbert.
Kathryn enjoys writing articles online. She is a guest blogger for Bring Birth Home and is on the Editorial Review Board for Pregnancy Corner.
Currently, Kathryn is working on her Childbirth Education Certification and Breastfeeding Counselor Certification through Childbirth International.
